Dan Aykroyd was one busy man this weekend!

On Friday night the former SNL star kicked off his weekend in the Hamptons at The Lodge in East Hampton where he hopped behind the bar and channeled his inner mixologist. Aykroyd prepared drinks for surprised patrons at The Lodge and turned them on to his new Crystal Head Vodka, which he was introducing to the Hamptons for the first time. From there, he was off to Turtle Crossing, also in East Hampton, where once again his Crystal Head Vodka was firmly in hand. There he mixed his signature drink for diners, Crystal Head and fresh squeezed OJ, and talked shop with Chef Arthur Wolf. After posing for photos, signing autographs and cutting it up with the staff, Aykroyd was off to Georgica Restaurant & Lounge. Can you guess what he did? Yep, he hopped behind the bar and mixed Crystal Head drinks for guests who couldn't believe that “the Ghostbuster guy is hawking Vodka.” After Georgica, Aykroyd was ready for a quick nap before he was due in Amagansett at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. That's where he met up with fellow celebrity guest Matthew Modine at Soldier Ride: The Hamptons Bike Ride and Walk at the American Legion Post 419. After addressing the crowd and extending his heartfelt gratitude to all of the soldiers and supporters riding in memory of Marine Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter, Aykroyd moseyed over to Stephen Talkhouse when he performed an impromptu concert for a packed house.

After the Talkhouse, Aykroyd couldn't resist one more stop at Turtle Crossing - this time to eat! Aykroyd and his entourage, who all arrived in the Crystal Head Trailer, treated themselves to a King's feast at lunch, sampling everything from Turtle Crossing Quesadillas and burgers to brisket sandwiches and grilled corn. And Dan just couldn't resist mixing up a few more Crystal Head and OJ's for the lunch crowd! (pictured left)

Next stop on Aykroyd's tour was Rock The Farm! That's where Aykroyd brought Elwood Blues to life at John's Lane Farm and performed a short but crowd pleasing set as the Blues Brothers. The event, which was the official after-party for Solider Ride, was thrown in benefit of the Soldier Ride and Wounded Warriors Projects.

That's one hell of schedule, and a whole lot of Vodka and OJ's, for the 56-year-old marketing machine. And yet at every stop, Aykroyd was nothing but super friendly, funny, and as hospitable as you could hope anyone to be. Since I don't drink Vodka, I asked the funny man and founder of Crystal Head what we should tell our readers about his special Vodka, which literally comes in a crystal skull bottle. Aykroyd's answer was one I should have anticipated; “You can tell them you tried it and it's the best Vodka you've ever had,” and with that he handed me a Vodka and OJ - and I drank it. And you know what? It was pretty damn good! Anything else we should let 'em know Dan? “Yes, its triple filtered through Herkimer diamonds, it's completely free of additives and...what’s that? With OJ? Coming right up! Will you excuse me a minute, I'm getting a little backed up.”
