Yesterday, Director Jace Alexander had the cast and crew from USA Network's latest pilot, Royal Pains, filming scenes at Oheka Castle in Huntington.

We were lucky enough to spend the day on-set and meet up with Jace and the show's star, Mark Feuerstein, at the gorgeous, picturesque locale. Mark Feuerstein is one of those actors that can redeem your faith in celebrities with a single smile. For all of the times that we encounter less-than-social personalities, obnoxious handlers, rude assistants and down-right self-absorbed "stars," it is such a pleasure to come across someone like Mark Feuerstein who can prove in a matter of seconds that "ego" doesn't have to be an infectious disease in Hollywood.

As a matter of fact, Mark is not only personable and charming, he's remarkably gracious. He didn't even blink once when Lisa approached him, with her foot planted firmly in her mouth, and called him MICHAEL! And for the record, we swear MARK, she really does know your name, and your work, she just hasn't been multi-tasking well this week. She has promised to put down the camera, take a nap and write Mark Feuerstein on a blackboard 200 times! And if it's any consolation, she once called Chace Crawford, from Gossip Girl, CHANCE...also to his face. She was lucky enough to catch that faux pas as soon as it came out of her mouth and had the "chance" to apologize on the spot - probably with the hope that we'd adhere to some non-existent 5-second rule and not make her constantly relive the humiliation. It hasn't worked out that way...as you can see. Whenever she's overworked and sleep deprived, the girl just turns into Regis Philbin and you never know what name she'll blurt out. So it's nothing personal, MARK - and we have your back. You have honorably been added to our list of things we'll never let her live down. ;)

Now, where were we? Oh yes...

In Royal Pains, Mark plays Hank Lawson, a young NYC doctor who seems to have it all ... a thriving career, beautiful girlfriend, and a swanky apartment. With one fateful and principled decision in the ER, Hank loses it all. Suddenly single and blackballed from the medical community, Hank heads to his brother's house in the Hamptons. His brother, Evan Lawson, played by Paulo Costanzo, tries to help him get back on track. After the two crash a party at a mega-mansion on the beach, Hank springs into action when a guest requires medical attention that only he is able to diagnose. The next morning, Hank finds himself summoned to another mansion. And then another. Hank's career is revived, but in a way he's not exactly happy about, as he becomes the on-call doctor for the rich, famous and infamous.

The scenes being filmed at Oheka brought the brother's Lawson to yet another mega-manse. Toned and tanned locals were called in to serve as extras for a high-society party scene. Some even brought their own luxury automobiles, which were utilized in an arrival scene in the grand courtyard of Oheka.

Royal Pains is wrapping up their month long production on Long Island this week. So far, scenes have been shot on Surfside Drive in Bridgehampton, the illustrious Meadow Lane in Southampton, Wyckoff Hospital in Bushwick, Greenpoint Avenue in Greenpoint, and of course, Oheka Castle Hotel & Estate.
